A Laxe becomes a key point of the Marisquiño 2025 with the finish line of the urban descent.

The leisure center managed by OGS will be official sponsor of the festival and stage of the MTB Downtown finish.

A Laxe, managed by Óptima Global Services, has become an official sponsor of Marisquiño 2025, the most important urban culture and sports festival in southern Europe. In its 25th edition, the event incorporates a great novelty: for the first time, the finish line of the emblematic urban downhill bike race (MTB Downtown) will be located in A Laxe, integrating the center as an essential part of the circuit.

The new route will start from the top of the O Castro mountain and will end at Vigo’s promenade, crossing the A Laxe footbridge at a height of more than 17 meters, in a spectacular and visually iconic finish. The finish line on the terrace of the center will turn A Laxe into a focal point of the festival, which will also host music, activities and a vibrant atmosphere during the days of the event.

This collaboration was officially presented at a press conference held on the terrace of the shopping center, with the participation of Abel Caballero, mayor of Vigo; David Regades, delegate of Zona Franca; Carlos Domínguez (Pity), founder of Marisquiño; Luis Vila, CEO of Óptima Global Services; Olga Gonzálvez, manager of A Laxe; and Héctor Quinteiro, rider protagonist of the video presentation of the new route.

Óptima Global Services says: this responds to our strategy of linking shopping centers with the life of the city, favoring their integration into the urban fabric through cultural, sporting and social events that connect with their surroundings and with the people who enjoy them.
